Admissions
Please contact our intake worker with any other questions

To be accepted into the Cree Nations Treatment Haven program,  the following criteria must be met:

  • Have a genuine desire to stop using alcohol or drugs.

  • Possess a willingness and commitment to complete the Thirty Five (35) Day Inpatient Treatment program.

  • A treatment application form must be submitted by mail and/or facsimile. All questions on the form must be answered fully by the applicant and his/her referral agent.

  • A completed medical report must be filled out and signed by a medical practitioner and submitted to Cree Nations Treatment Haven by mail and/or facsimile. Prescribed unsafe medications will not be allowed into treatment. 

  • Applicants with charges before the courts must have charges disposed of prior to being admitted. -- If a court date can be postponed until after completion of treatment [for less serious charges], written approval and conditions must be provided to the Cree Nations Treatment Haven before approval of admission can be given.

  • Applicants on probation or parole must inform the Cree Nations Treatment Haven prior to admission, providing a copy of his/her probation/parole order and the name of his/her probation/parole officer.

  • It is the responsibility of the referral agent to inform Cree Nations Treatment Haven if a client has a history of mental illness, suicidal ideations, or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.

  • Applicants  must be seventeen (17) years old and over.

  •  Medical, dental, and legal appointments must be taken care of prior to admission.

  •  Applicants must be free from alcohol and drugs for at least three (3) days prior to the intake date.
