To be accepted into the Cree Nations Treatment Haven program, the following criteria must be met:

- Have a genuine desire to stop using alcohol or drugs

- Possess a willingness and commitment to complete the thirty five (35) day treatment program

- A treatment application form must be submitted by mail and/or facsimile. All questions on the for must be answered fully by the client and his/her referral agent

- A completed medical report must be filled out and signed by a medical practitioner and submitted to Cree Nations Treatment Haven by mail and/or facsimile

- Clients with charges before the courts must have charges disposed of prior to being admitted. -- If a court date can be postponed until after completion of treatment [for less serious charges], written approval and conditions must be provided to the Treatment Center before approval can be given.

- Clients on probation or parole must inform the Treatment Center prior to admission, providing a copy of his/her probation/parole order and the name of his/her probation/parole officer

- It is the responsibility of the referral agent to inform Cree Nations Treatment Haven if a client has a history of mental illness, suicidal ideations, or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder

- Clients must be seventeen (17) years old and over

- Medical and dental appointments must be taken care of prior to admission

- Clients must be free from alcohol and drugs for at least three (3) days prior to his/her intake date
